TRAVEL IS BACK!
OMG, we can hardly believe it, restrictions are being relaxed, the days are long and sunny and we’re about to be allowed to actually TRAVEL again! With news that vaccinated Americans are now allowed to travel to Europe, we love hearing about the fun trips you all have planned.
As your packing skills may have become a little rusty in the last year, we thought you could use some #outfitinspiration for a few different types of trips you may have in the works.
Spending some time in NYC?
New York is gradually returning back to normal, with indoor dining and events taking place with reduced capacity. It seems like a great time to avoid the usual crowds and spend some time in the city that never sleeps. We have a day and night look for you to try in NYC.
Nights out in New York call for a little dressier look than we’re accustomed to here in California.
Maybe even throw on some heels!
Family Vacation in Hawaii?
We’re finally allowed back to the island paradise without the mandatory quarantine. We love Hawaii because during the day anything goes. Swimsuits are the uniform and with the addition of a cute coverup, you’ll feel at home on the beach or out to lunch. Cute sandals are a nice upgrade to flip flops, it’s entirely up to you.
We also love the tradition of getting ready for dinner. Now’s the time to get dressed in those bright summer maxis, print pants or a flowing boho skirt with a light top. Leave your shorts, even the bermuda length, for daytime. It feels nice to get a little dressed up. Don’t you remember?
Girl’s Wine Country Weekend
Yes!!! A weekend away with the girls. You’ve been needing this for a loooong time and it’s happening. It can be HOT up there in the summer. And occasionally a little foggy too. Be prepared with some light layers for both day and night. Wine tasting has gotten a bit more casual, so we do think shorts are o.k., just be sure to dress them up with a nice top and pretty sandals. We’d go for some comfortable flats as you’ll be standing a good amount of the time and teetering out of the winery on heels across a gravel path is generally not advised.
At night, feel free to go all out. It’s so fun getting all dressed up to go out with the girls when everyone is looking and feeling their best. Sequins? Wear ‘em. Head to toe summer whites? Wear ‘em. Silk camisole and dressy menswear pants? Wear ‘em. We’ve been waiting a year for this, DON’T HOLD BACK! No one appreciates a great outfit like your girlfriends, you know that.
A Staycation
Maybe the grandparents are coming for their first visit in a long time or kids are getting ready to leave the nest, so staying at home seems like a nice, quiet way to enjoy your family and the wonderful summers we are lucky enough to have here in Marin County. It’s still fun to give yourself a little wardrobe update. We’re including a couple of looks that will make your time at home feel special, whether you’re grabbing groceries for dinner from Mill Valley Market, or hitting the town with a 6 pm reservation at one of our local favorites.
So there you have it. Some fashion inspiration for your much anticipated summer plans. We hope you like our suggestions. And please, feel free to let us know what you’d like to hear about in the coming months. We created this blog for you.
XO,
Evan and Ronnie
